Test Your Cyber Sleuthing Skills with the Information Evaluation
Face to Face Activity and Collaborating Online Activity
In this activity you will work in pairs or in small groups (no more than 4 students) to complete the activity. You will need a laptop or a mobile device with access to the Internet.
1. Research and Analyze: In the first part of the assignment, you will be doing research, which requires analysis, this means finding more than just “finding” information online. Research involves using multiple and valid sources and evaluating the information found in each. In your search, you will visit and evaluate 3 websites from the list provided below. Refer to the C.R.A.A.P Test infographic to evaluate the information.
2. Collaborate and Assess in Office 365: Using a shared Word document in Office 365, assess the sites, using the format below (copy/paste into your document). Choose 3 websites for evaluation. As you explore the site, determine if you think that it is CREDIBLE OR NON-CREDIBLE. After you have assessed 3 websites, submit your findings to your teacher for evaluation.
