Academic Awards
At the end of the year, the Principal of Learning Online will run a report that shows the highest mark achieved in all courses offered by Learning Online. Learning Online sends out their own Academic Awards for each of the courses that we are offering that school year. Both RCSD and out of division students are eligible.
Honours and Honours with Distinction
Students achieving a average grade of 80% or greater will receive an Honours Award. Students with a grade of 90% or greater will receive an Honours with Distinction Award.
Grade Nine Criteria: Average of the compulsory grade 9 classes offered through Learning Online.
- Mathematics 9A, Mathematics 9B, English Language Arts A9, English Language Arts B9, Social Studies 9 or Science Sociales 9, Science 9, and Catholic Studies 9.
Grade Ten Criteria: Average of the following courses taken through Learning Online.
- English Language Arts A10, English Language Arts B10*, History or Histoire 10, Science 10, Math 10, Catholic Studies 10, and two highest taken in grade 10 year.
*Francais 10 can be substituted for one ELA 10.
Grade Eleven Criteria: Average of the following courses taken through Learning Online.
- English Language Arts 20, Catholic Studies 20, Mathematics 20, and five highest classes taken in grade 11 year.
Grade Twelve Criteria: Average of the following courses taken through Learning Online.
- English Language Arts A30, English Language Arts B30*, Catholic Studies 30, Native Studies 30 or Sciences Sociales 30, and three high courses taken in grade 12 year.
*Francais 30 can be substituted for 1 ELA 30.
