Summer School Registration Opens May 2024
Regina Catholic Schools Learning Online offers online courses during the summer months. Summer courses run from July 3 to August 5 (Subject to Change) and are fully online. Students can work on their courses anytime and anywhere they have access to an internet connection.
Summer Courses, the same as regular Learning Online courses, are fully asynchronous. Courses do not have regular meetings with teachers unless scheduled. Coursework is expected to be done by a student by themselves after viewing content and lessons. Again, correspondence with a teacher is only done by email, moodle messages or scheduled Teams meetings.
Parents and Students should review a few of our resources (https://lo.rcsd.ca/local/pages/startup) before making the decision to enroll in summer school because refunds are not granted after courses begin. There is a considerable amount of work for teachers and administration before classes begin.
Learning Online offers a variety of full credit courses at a grade 9 – 12 level in Business Education, Catholic Studies, French Immersion, Humanities, Mathematics, Sciences, Social Sciences, Technology, and Wellness. A full list of course offering can be found below.
Tuition for summer courses is $500 per class and tuition must be paid in full prior to the start of the semester. Registration is not limited to Regina Catholic School Division students. Learning Online accepts registrations from high school students in other Saskatchewan school divisions as well as adult learners looking to earn or upgrade Saskatchewan high school credits. To ensure Regina Catholic and Holy Trinity School Division students are accommodated, registrations will not be accepted from other divisions until Monday, June 17. These registrations will be accepted based on available course space and teacher availability.
International Students wishing to enroll in summer courses should refer to the Learning Online International Student Enrollment Guidelines and Tuition Structure for enrollment eligibility and tuition charges.
Registration Deadline: Friday, June 28 (Subject to Change) at 11:59 p.m. (LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED)
Summer Course drop date is July 2. Refunds will not be issued after this date.
To register, students can complete an online registration form.
Before an RCSD student enrollment is processed, base-school administrators must approve the registration. Students will be notified once their registration is approved.
