Comment and Connect

Review the Flipgrid comments of classmates and respond to 2 other people. To ensure that everyone has a response, your teacher will assign one person to respond to, but you have a choice of who you would like to respond to next. Use the 3C’s + Q model for commenting in Flipgrid.

  Face to Face and Online

Collaboratively Create a Sway

For this collaborative activity, your teacher will divide you up into groups of 2 or 3. Each group will need to access the Digital Compass and the 10 scenarios.

Brainstorm and create 2 other scenarios of appropriate and inappropriate ways of communicating online and using technology. In your group, compose your scenario, using a collaborative platform like Office 365’s Sway, which will allow you to include images, text and other multimedia. Sway will also allow all group members to collaborate and create in the same document.

Be sure to include both scenarios in your Sway.

Include a title for your assignment that reflects the situations, and all partner's names.

Add the Sway Shared Link to the Discussion Forum

In the Discussion Forum, state the names of group members, title of the scenarios, then paste the shared code into the Discussion Forum. Your post should include the following:

  • Partners' names:
  • Title of e-book (embed the Sway link into the title – right click, choose the link button and link).
  • Include the link right into the post as well (just in case).
  • A final comment to encourage others to check out your post.

Read and Respond to the New Scenarios

The best part about a Discussion Forum, is that it allows for connecting and ideas, and of course, discussion. Go check out the Sways of others (you do not need to do this partners, individually is fine) and post how you would react to the scenarios shared by other groups.
